It helps traffic engineering professionals calculate observation and entrance angles, two important parameters that can affect retro-reflective material’s night-time brightness and visibility. It also demonstrates the visual effects of different types of reflective material when they are applied on an overhead traffic sign, which represents a typical “large angle” condition.
